Indianapolis Wedding Photographer | casey and her camera
So when we started planning a wedding (again) out of state from where we lived, I knew a ‘gift table’ was going to be completely unnecessary. Flying home for our reception made taking any kind of gift home with us pretty impossible – especially with how much photo gear I was traveling with for the end-of-the-month photo booth (stay tuned!).
Not to worry, though, I just had to find a card box to fit our rustic theme…. errrrr…. ok… where to start?!
Luckily, I didn’t have to start ANYWHERE. My Dad contacted me and asked if I wanted a card box for our reception. This was ironic considering I had emailed him an idea about 2 months prior, asking if he could build one I’d found online. He had missed the email and so when he called me he started out by saying, ‘Do you know what a card box is?’ to which I replied very confusedly.
Once we sorted out all the confusion, turns out his friend and his wife make card boxes. AMAZING card boxes. RUSTIC card boxes. CUSTOM CARD BOXES. DO YOU HEAR ME OVER HERE!? THIS IS MY YELLING FONT. Excited yelling, of course.
So Amy made us a box. The most beautiful, perfect, fitting card box I could have ever imagined. The good news for you is that she’s taking orders! Her business, An Artsy Affair, can be found on Facebook or Etsy and is NOT limited to rustic boxes, although I’m quite partial to them. The box was gorgeously made with impeccable attention to detail (<3) and is something we will be able to keep around for a very long time to come… it fits our home decor, too!
Plus, she made us a custom, reversible tag since we have two anniversaries to celebrate. 😉
Thanks, Amy! It was PERFECT!!
Side note… photos are all shot by Jami Carlson Photography, paper cake topper is made by Alissa, and the flowers are all from La Casa de Susie.
