Seven years ago I did my student teaching at a small-town high school just south of where I went to high school myself. During that year I learned who Jordan was simply by name alone. Six years ago, I got a full-time job at that same high school and learned who Jordan was by face. You see, she was sort of a small-town celebrity and set the bar for all cross country events in the region. She was a complete star! And while she never happened upon any of my classes, I knew who she was, regardless.
Needless to say, I was a little starstruck, then, when she emailed me about shooting her engagement photos. Obviously excited, I jumped at the chance! It took a bit of coordinating on both our parts as I live full-time in Colorado and she lives in Indiana. We managed to coordinate a time late-May and it just may be my favorite engagement shoot to-date.
Jordan and Daniel met in college – they’re UBER cute together and are soooo good together. Jordan is awesomely creative (man, is there anything this girl isn’t good at?!) and brought along a bunch of ideas and props. Daniel was up for anything – running, spinning, tossing, catching – and even had an AWESOME eye for lighting (see last photo in the post).
I thoroughly enjoyed my evening with these two and even dragged them around for a bit longer than planned… after all… it was at my Mom’s house (she has an AMAZING yard!!!) and I was just having too much fun!
Congratulations on your engagement, you two, you are wonderful individually and together… and I think you’ve picked a PERFECT wedding date. 😉
