It will never cease to amaze me just how much kids grow in between sessions, but when Violet came right up to me and announced that she had grown I did a double take because she was nearly eye level. Eye level. Wasn’t she just rib-high the last time I saw her? Probably not, but that’s what it feels like.
Adrienne grabbed a spot early this year in order to finally have a session in some warmer fall weather. Our previous sessions have always been frigid with a side of numb fingers and toes. And wouldn’t you know, it turned out to be 90 instead. Haha.
We shot their session along their downtown Indianapolis family session along the canal walk this year and it happened to fall on one of the busiest nights I’ve seen down there in a while. The summer weather made a comeback and everyone was out taking full advantage. Not to mention there was a concert, a wedding, and plenty of other things going on around us. We did our best to find little pockets of space and still managed to capture the skyline at the end of our session despite not having access to our planned spots.
I love seeing and photographing families over the years if only for the selfish reason of getting to see and hear who the kids become. Violet was so excited to tell me about all of her current favorites and interests (and ask me about mine, as well!) and August was happy to chime in, as well. Isaac never ceases to blow me away with his sense of style, ability to smize (is that even thing anymore?) and his sense of fun with his younger siblings. Thanks for having me along again this year, Adrienne and Dace and kids. I hope you all enjoyed your ice cream and best of luck on your senior year, Isaac!
