This year my spring travel sessions were rained (and frozen) out and we were able to bump these guys to a summer family session in Michigan. And admittedly, we were partially rained out of this session, too, but that just means they’re getting the best of everything with the second half of their session scheduled to happen in September! If you saw my Instagram post recently, I love the idea of photographing couples and families throughout the seasons of the years, so I was secretly glad the drops started falling right at the midway point in our session. Not to mention these three are personal friends of mine and I always enjoy spending time with them. Now I have an excuse to see them several times this year!

This session was to celebrate Jackson turning four just a couple of months ago. It’s hard to believe that it’s already been that long… remember when he was this little!? Anna and Josh, you’ll have to show him those so he can check himself out! I’ve had many sessions with them over the years and each one has been an adventure. Jackson is a total ham and loves the camera and it loves him right back. Just look at that face!
