It’s no secret that starting a wedding day with the details is my favorite way to start the day. It’s like the perfect warm up to capturing every little moving detail of the whole celebration. It’s quiet, I’m often by myself, and every piece of jewelry, every bouquet, every invitation, it all tells a story. And a wedding with two brides means two sets of bridal details and I was basically floating on clouds by the time it was ready for these two to get into their dresses.
A Mavris Events Center wedding with two brides also means getting to use the gorgeous bridal suite twice. If you’ve never been, it’s dreamy. And if you’ve been before but not yet this year, they gave the already gorgeous space a makeover and it has the best furniture in their now. I was notorious for moving the heavy, glass table out of the middle of the room with their old setup and now the space is wide open, with the most darling bar cart and side table and the most drool-worthy Anthropologie mirror in the corner.

Haley was in place first and as we backed Katie into place, Haley reached for Katie and teared up and I felt my heart beat for them. Among my other favorites from the day is their champagne spray at Military Park. Their full gallery includes waaaayyyyy too many frames from this, but Katie’s changing expressions and Haley’s full-on laughter are just too good to cull… not to mention the first frame of the whole experience has everyone’s eyes closed as the cork popped off and can just barely be seen in the top of the frame. And let’s not forget their mid-aisle kiss after being pronounced wife and wife, Katie’s maid of honor in full bridesmaid attire on Facetime for the whole day, and the face game to round it all out.
