The new parent season of life has to be one of the most rewarding and difficult all at the same time. I feel this because I’m in the midst of it myself, with only just a few steps ahead of these three. Taking the time out for a lifestyle newborn session can be tiring, or even stressful, but the end result is something irreplaceable. These newborn milestone sessions allow us to freeze this fleeting, magical, heart-swelling moment into frames where you can forever look back and see how life was, and how tiny they were, for just a little while.

Sarah and Cordon had their maternity session for little Emmett back in July and he made his arrival in September. I had a chance to meet him when he was just 11 days old and have to admit, I had immediate hair envy. He’s got his dad’s genes in this department and his curls are just gorgeous.

We were also able to include Oliver and Evelyn in this sweet newborn session – another perk of shooting lifestyle sessions at home. Both of their pups are adjusting well to life with a little brother and are ready for him to start playing with them in the nursery… whenever he’s ready, of course.

Sarah and Cordon, congratulations on your beautiful baby boy. Your family is perfect and you are both doing a wonderful job. Emmett is so clearly loved by many and most of all by you. Welcome to parenthood.
