As a follow up to our September wedding we had a May reception shot by the fantastical Jami Carlson Photography. I’ll keep this one short-and-sweet since it features yours truly and it’s always harder talking about yourself… so here ya go!
We started the day with hair and makeup by my former student and soon-to-hit-the-blog-May-Bride, Taylor. Jami wasn’t with us for this part, so I set up the settings and instructed Jordan from my seat at the beauty parlor, otherwise known as the master bedroom at my folk’s house.
What a pro! Way to follow my instructions, Jordan. Your photography class in high school paid off, as well.Â
Shot by Jordan! Mom wore a bracelet that belonged to her mother and my grandma. Keep scrolling to see my necklace… also my grandmother’s. 🙂
Once we got to Cobblestone, Jami was there to take over and she did NOT disappoint!
There is nothing more entertaining than applying dress-tape.Â
Can you tell they’re related? I can’t… … KIDDING.
Creepy scarecrows in the garden? Covered in bugs? We’re on it.
I am soooooo good at cutting cake. Seriously. I had to ask for help on HOW even to do this. WHO TEACHES COUPLES THIS!?
A highlight of the evening for Brad. All of his buddies back together in one place for one night. And Brad and I owe big thanks to the guy to the left of Brad for even having met one another. Thanks, Jason!
Check out my awesome moves. I’m an awesome dancer because I’m so good at following.
My FAVORITE photo from the entire day.
I got my moved from Mom. She’s an expert follower. 😉
HUGE thanks to all of our friends and family who came out to celebrate with us. It meant the world to have you there and thank you for supporting our non-traditional and backwards ways of doing semi-traditional things. 😀
