I always get excited to see these guys when I’m home for a visit – whether it be for photos or just for fun! You’ve seen them on here quite a bit over the years and we’ve all had the pleasure of seeing this little ham grow up over the years and I could just gush on forever about how much I adore them all… especially when Jackson gets out of the car, yells my name, and comes running over to bear hug me. <3
Last week I made a quick trip (two trips, actually) out of Indianapolis and back up to Michigan, where my folks live. While there, I had a series of sessions, and these guys were the kick off to my stay. We had a quick evening at my favorite Saline park while I was home for a visit and it was just magic. It’s almost as if Anna has psychic quilt abilities and knows how to dress the family to PERFECTLY coordinate with my quilts for their family photographs. Talk about some glorious fall colors and outfits! Put that together with puddle jumping, pumpkin tossing, and racing up and down the paths and we have ourselves a dreamy little evening for some fall photos!
I feel so fortunate to be able to do this for a living – I’m literally living my dream. And the whipped cream on top (since I don’t like cherries) is that I get to be part of the community of Indianapolis family photographers and call myself a traveling photographer that plays the part of being a Michigan family photographer several times a year. I’m a sentimental person and I love that i get to hold onto my friends up in Michigan through my work and feel privileged to see their families grow and change over the years – no matter how far apart we live. Looking forward to seeing all of these guys around the Christmas holidays for some friend time and looking forward to snuggling all their littles again then, as well.
