Indianapolis Family Photographer | casey and her camera

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing this blonde bombshell in Longmont, CO. Meg and I met over a year ago when she moved from California to come and work on the ranch. She showed up on her move-in day with her father, who made the drive with her, and I worried this Cali girl wouldn’t survive our mountain winter. She’s been with us now for almost a year and a half and is, through and through, a mountain girl at heart, despite her roots. She even owns more boots than I do!

With a heart of gold and more compassion to give than I can even wrap my head around, she deserves the world. When Meg saw some of these previews over on the Facebook page, she said, ‘Wow, I don’t even look like that… I love them!’. I had to giggle a bit before confirming to her that she absolutely DOES look just like this. She’s a total babe!

She has not been Photoshopped in any of these images – that’s not my style. In fact, I don’t believe in warping, liquifying, and transforming people into something they’re not. So Meg, trust me… you are quite the catch and these photos…. they’re alllll YOU!

Thanks for trusting me with the camera… I know it’s hard to be in front of it when you’re usually on the other side. 😉

I keep going back and forth with the flare on this image. I have a version of both – with and without – but I kind of like the ‘with’. It makes me think a tiny little Tinkerbell is hanging out with her in the image. 🙂 You can check out the non-flare image here.
