How did it get to be the end of October already? Of course, I don’t remember September, either. This season has just absolutely flown by and whether it’s the whole I-have-a-new-baby thing that’s making it disappear so quickly, or whether it’s the fact that Mother Nature held out with 80 and 90 degree temps until just a week or so ago (and now it feels like winter), I guess I’ll never know for sure. These fall maternity photos were a few weeks ago when the temps were still blazing hot and the humidity still felt like August, but you won’t be able to tell by looking at this gorgeous collection of images. Laura did an awesome job of putting together the perfect fall wardrobe and they were able to brave the heat (and the mosquitos!) for their session. Big shout out to Andy, who had the most layers AND the most mosquitos, for making it through with a smile on his face!
It’s not often that I’ll take first-time clients on wilderness treks to new locations, but with the lack of change in the leaves this year, I found myself on the hunt for a new spot to shoot early this month. I’ve been oogling this little patch of goodness for a couple of years, now, without braving it with anyone until their session. I threw them a curveball when they arrived and I pointed to where I wanted to start our session, and while they probably thought I was crazy as we carefully picked out way down a steep hill and over a ravine, I made sure to promise them it would be well worth it and it absolutely was. 😍We finished their session on more groomed paths and at my favorite spot down by the water to bring balance to our adventures.
Laura and Andy, thank you for being such good-spirited troopers and to Henry for being the easiest 2 (almost 3) year old I have ever photographed.
