Jenn’s kids are growing up too fast. If there’s nothing else you read in this post, that’s all you need to know. Here, see for yourself. Our first session was 6 years ago now and it’s hard to believe that this session was in celebration of Leah’s upcoming senior year. The plan was to have a senior session for her, but her heart is bigger than you can imagine and all she wanted was to include the people in her life who she loves the most. So it evolved from a senior session to a family session to an extended family session and now here we are. But that session linked above will forever be one of my favorites. It’s filled with some of my all time favorite candid moments of these three and will stick with me for many years to come.

Jenn’s sister is Lindsay, so having an extended family session with this crew meant having some little mini-family-session moments sprinkled throughout. Lindsay and Jason are one of my longest clients here in Indy, but I missed them this past winter while out on maternity leave. And when I say I missed them, not only did they not appear on my calendar, but I missed them in my heart. When we got to February (Jeff’s birthday month) I thought of them and tried to figure out a way I could still somehow manage to get them on my calendar… but then I went into labor. Haha! This is the last session I shot with them, so I was extra excited when Jenn told me they were switching the session over to include their bunch.

In looking back at these photos, it’s amazing to me that for each Eagle Creek Park family session we’ve shot for them, each year and backdrop looks different. That’s the beauty of the park – just move a few minutes down the road and wah-lah, a whole new setting.

Leah, you are the sweetest soul with the kindest heart. Seeing you surrounded by your family for your senior session was such a beautiful sight from an outsider’s perspective. There’s so much love and adoration for you from these people (especially Jeff) and I loved seeing them celebrating you throughout our session. Best of luck on your senior year and graduation. I cannot wait to hear what you do next!
