October brought me the busiest wedding season I’ve had in all of the years in this business and as the month wraps up today, it’s officially time to start sharing all of the gorgeousness that was October. Up first is Kendra and Pablo’s Biltwell wedding… a wedding that had been in the works for years and finally came together on a hot, humid, rainy day. I have a special appreciation for venues that have amazing lighting (both natural and artificial!) that allows us to take indoor portraits during less-than-ideal weather conditions. The Biltwell Event Center’s large, open space with windows on three sides gave us an opportunity to catch a break from the heat, keep dry in the drizzle, and still have dramatic, romantic portraits that highlight the look these two wanted.

Having met in high school, these two celebrated in two languages alongside their three daughters and surrounded by friends and family who love them dearly. Kendra and Pablo wanted to keep things simple and focus on their relationship and story, knowing that this was their day (a day that for anyone who is a parent knows is not something that comes along often… or at all). Of course, their twins made sure to share in it, and share their fruit loops, too.

This isn’t the end for us, though, as I’ll see Kendra and Pablo (and the girls!) again for a hybrid family/anniversary session at some point in the next year. Originally planned as an engagement session, life just kept us from making it happen and after too many rescheduled to count, it’s officially on the calendar for when everyone is healthy again (i.e. Pablo can walk).
