Last month I detailed to you the tragic event of the macro lens in my Tasty…YUM! post. Well, I decided I liked the set up and the up-close-and-personal exploration of the textures of fruit that I wanted to use this month’s Share Six post to explore macro photography further.
You see, I’ve always been a detail-lover… all details. I have almost annoyingly careful attention to detail in almost everything I do. It can sometimes bog me down in a work setting and I’m always practicing teaching myself to let certain things go, but last month’s visual exploration of detail struck a chord in me.
I think it IS all in the details. Especially aesthetically or texturally. Have you ever really taken the time to sloooowwwww down and look at things up close? I invested in the macro mainly for ring shots, but I am LOVING exploring and experimenting with it. Maybe I need to pull it out more at my family sessions. 😉
Plus, I’ve been spending 80% or more of my time giving this gardening thing a go. Could the FLORAL theme be any more perfect for me this May!?
Take a peek… and then check out Erica’s take on the floral theme!

Casey!!! I love these. I may have to order a print or two from you.
I love your post Casey. I especially love 4 and 5 with all the details of the plant. Macro has become one of my favorite ways to shoot as well..
