Last week in the wedding post I mentioned there were more details on this cake coming, and WAH-LA! Here they are! The lovely and talented Ellen, who also made our reception cake, made this beauty here for her high-school-best-friend on her wedding day and it fell nothing short of stunning…. and also DELICIOUS. 😉 If I remember correctly it was an almond pound cake with strawberry buttercream frosting. And those details and decorations on the outside of the cake? ALL.HAND.MADE. From sugar. Can you do that?! I most certainly can’t. These are the things I dreeeaaammmm about being able to do (yes, decorate cakes… it’s true) and in the meantime I just admire the work of the professionals.
