It’s the most wonderful time of the year! And yes, you should read that in tune and sing-songy. Twice a year my calendar fills beyond its max – first in May for spring family photos and in October for fall family photos. As much as I may feel overwhelmed when looking at my calendar, or my editing to-do list, I have to admit I love it. It’s the perfect excuse to spend time outdoors in the evening, especially now that the temperatures have finally dropped (don’t be fooled by what you see in the images… my clients are just excellent sports!) and the leaves are changing. There’s just nothing better than heading off to “work” and spending the next couple of hours hanging out at the park.
For this family, Andrea has only a couple of requests. Her main priority was the family photo, along with some individuals of the kids and a shot of them together, but in all of this she really wanted to document what their family looks like in this moment. While this was my first time working with them, they make a point to schedule a session every fall and she loves being able to capture their personalities in their session. So at the end of their session when Hugh carefully observed Lucy before following her lead, much to my delight Andrea and Matt just laughed along and let it happen… and it made the end of our session. 😉
