Where do I even begin with this post? I’ve known this little family now for several years and each session just keeps getting better. Quincy reached out to me earlier this summer to schedule a session celebrating Cooke’s first birthday, requesting a woodsy family session for the occasion. We browsed some of my favorite locations ranging from really woodsy (ahem, forest) to something between the woods and what we’re known best for here in the midwest… our gorgeous, open fields. We settled on my favorite location of them all and I couldn’t be more excited about how dreamy it all turned out.
Quincy is a dream to work with because she manages to style her whole family with absolute perfection every time. And both Tyler and Quincy show up ready to play with and love on the kids for the duration of our session – exactly what it’s all about. The last time I saw this crew was around Christmas time, but the last time you saw this crew was when Cooke was only a month old. I’ll never cease being amazed at how much kids grow in such a short time, especially when so much changes in that first year or two of life.
Cooke is a doll to work with, happy as a clam to explore his surroundings and dodge kisses from his sister, and Hazel’s personality just lit up everything around us, when she previously wasn’t sure what to make of me. I guess she’s decided I’m not going anywhere, so I must be okay. So happy birthday, Cooke, I know you were celebrated well this past weekend. And thanks to these four for having me!
