It’s a double post kind of day, because after this I am officially signing off for the holidays. Endless thank yous to all of you who joined me this year… I cannot wait to see you all next year!
Earlier this year I donated a session to the Patachou Foundation in support of IPS 54 for their Project Nourish silent auction fundraiser. The event served to raise funds to provide students in an after school program with non-packaged farm-to-table foods. Having worked in education for over ten years, much of which was spent serving underprivileged and at-risk youth, their mission was close to my heart and I eagerly donated a family session.
Rochelle attended the event and went home with the donated session. Rochelle shared that she’s been wanting to get updated family photos with her kids for quite some time now. Both kids are grown and in school, and may be headed off out of Indy in the very near future. In addition, Rochelle wanted to use the session to celebrate her new look. She’s spent time working diligently on her personal health and fitness and wanted updated portraits that showcase the person she is now. With December weather, you just never know what you’re going to get for a winter family session, so as we approached our session, the radar looked miserable, but we seemed to be stuck in a little pocket of dryness so we hopped out and took advantage.
Rochelle wanted to focus this session on shots of all three of them together and that’s exactly what we did. Of course, we made sure to get some individual shots, too. I know how much these photos mean to parents especially as the kids grow and move away from home. Thanks for joining me, Coleman family! Happy holidays!
