The best part about this job is getting to know people slowly and over time as they grow and change their families. I’ve known this family now since Frank was just a new little thing and I love seeing them year after year. This year, for their White River State Park family session I got to see Frank as a big brother. I saw him in this role earlier this year at Margaret’s newborn session, but there’s such a big change that happens for toddlers once they’ve had some time to settle into their role as an older sibling.
We used as much of White River State Park and the surrounding Indianapolis Canal Walk as possible for their session this fall. Emily and Jordan want to include as much of Indianapolis in their photos as possible as they live downtown and love the city and all it has to offer. I usually shoot engagement sessions down here, so it was fun to explore some new areas for this session with a family of four in tow this time. Of course, Frank ran the entire thing with us and kept us going with his energy and the occasional rest-on-dad’s-head.
As always, thanks for having me, Emily and Jordan! It’s always a treat to see you all and I love being able to see your kids grow!
