This year has officially been crowned the year of reschedules, but not because of your typical reasons (i.e. rain), but rather because, well… it’s 2020. Jenn had this session planned and booked a looonnnggg time ago. It’s been years since I’ve seen her and the kids, and she wanted to make sure we got our session in with plenty of time to capture Cody’s senior year and have the photos for graduation. And then, of course, 2020 happened, and things changed… a few times.

Lucky for us, though, we had the most gorgeous summer family session we could’ve hoped for. We actually had plans to meet earlier in the week, but held out due to some rain (go figure), but it all worked out in our favor and it was gorgeous.

The last time I saw the kids, they were still kids. I knew that everyone was in high school now, but that didn’t stop my jaw from dropping when I got out of the car and saw all these young adults hanging around in the parking lot. Everyone has grown up in so many ways and it was such a treat to talk to the kids and find out what they’re into now, what the school year was like for them as COVID hit, and what their post-graduation plans are.

Jenn is one blessed Mama and she knows it, but the kids are beyond lucky to have this amazing woman as their mom. Each one of these three has such different personalities, and Jenn can hang with each of them. They each have a different part of her in them and it’s obvious that she’s each of their biggest fans, cheering them on in everything they do – even not sleeping the night before our session, not to name any names. 😂 I know that as kids get older, they don’t want to hang onto their parents at a session as much, but these three were all in, loving on their Mama to the point I was choked up when editing the images afterwards. Jenn deserves every squeeze they give her.

Jenn, thank you for letting me capture this year for your family. It was such a treat to see you all again, and to see the kids all grown. Happy summering!
