Indianapolis Lifestyle Photographer | Indianapolis Family Photographer
This month’s Project Ten happened by happy accident for me. I had plans to take a series of photographs to accompany a song clip, but then this happened.
As a photographer, it’s really easy to forget to get out the ‘big camera’ when you’re home and life is just happening all around you. It’s easy to book Lifestyle shoots with other families – it’s seemingly harder to shoot your own. This morning, after a rough morning with our pets (our cat isn’t featured because I may still be upset with him…. also, he hates having his picture taken), this happened, and I just couldn’t pass up grabbing the big camera from the next room to capture this.
I didn’t have any pets growing up (and a fish and a hamster in college don’t count), so Pogo is my first and only dog. I know she won’t be around forever, and is’t important to me that I have photos like these to remember how our little family started and what it’s like these days. I also know that my husband will be crushed when she isn’t around anymore – they are closer than I’ve ever seen a person and a pet be – and these photos will bring smiles through tears, someday.
And since I promised a song clip, that happens to make me think of my own relationship, anyway, here you go!

Dogs are the best. They’re full of nothing but love. So great that you took the time to capture that on camera.
