Jaclyn and Jesse booked me for their 2018 Planterra Conservatory wedding back in April of last year and from the moment I found out what venue they had chosen I started dreaming of their wedding day. You see, I’m a sucker for all things green and growing. I’m secretly trying to turn my own house into an indoor conservatory (the cats out of the bag, now) and have too many house plants to count. My house is surrounded by gardens on the outside and are slowly expanding to take over the yard. I once visited a small coastal town in Oregon and immediately fell in love with it because they have a cottage garden tour and competition annually and fully plan to own a house there someday. So when Jaclyn and Jesse told me they’d be getting married at Planterra Conservatory you can only imagine my excitement.
The icing on the cake, though, is that Jaclyn adores my work and cheers me on in everything I shoot and share. There’s no asking for a better bride and I’ve loved getting to see and know her over the last year. Of course, Jesse is head over heels for her and together they have the sweetest story. I’ll leave that one to Jaclyn, but let’s just say it started with a phone call during a slumber party back in their middle school years.
One of the things they shared with me before their wedding was how important their wedding party and guests are to them. They designed their dream wedding and invited those most dear to them to attend. Several times throughout the day I had a chance to chat with guests and each one of them simply gushed about these two and what an impact they’ve had on their own life. It’s clear that Jaclyn and Jesse spend time serving and supporting others regularly, and the gratitude for these two filled the space and overflowed out the doors.
To Jaclyn and Jesse, I hope this is not the end of the road for us. Your love for one another is absolutely beautiful and I am so thankful to have spent this time with you. Everything was simply stunning from start to finish and so many times throughout the day I felt my own eyes sparkle at the sights in front of me. Congratulations to you both!
