If I told you that this session was originally scheduled as a 3-month milestone session, would you believe me? And the award for most reschedules goes to….. these three! 2020 has been a wild ride for everyone, and while our first reschedule happened far before anything had happened this year, the rest is one for the books. Literally. My scheduling log is proof!

It all worked out in our favor, though, because we got a chance to get together and capture sweet Carter the week he learned to walk! Just before his first birthday he took his first steps, and only days later, we finally got a chance to get our session in – beautiful summer weather and all. It’s been such a thrill being with this family from pregnancy announcement to maternity session, newborn session and now here.

Being able to witness Carter’s first year (both from behind my lens and also by following his mama on social media!) has been such a treat! Happy birthday, sweet boy, and thank you for having me along for this last year, Kait and Derek!
