I just shared on Instagram a bit ago that I’m both amazed that there are only a few weeks of sessions left in 2021 for me and wondering if I will make it. It’s the same feeling every year – we get to September and October and suddenly my calendar is twice as full as it is every other working month of year. And since September was fairly calm for me this year while I was out a bit after having surgery, October was extra wild and it’s spilled over into November. ::Insert yoga breathing here.::
Either way, all of these smiling faces bring smiles to my own face. I haven’t seen these three for a Michigan family session in a while, and though I’ve seen them for social gatherings in the meantime, it was great to have them in front of my camera again. Jackson is a natural in front of the camera (or just in front of anyone) and kept us all laughing throughout the evening. Also, can we take a moment to just soak in how cute kids in glasses are? Two of my Michigan families had little ones who got glasses recently and they both look absolutely adorable in glasses. Why weren’t glasses this cute when we were kids!?
Anna and Josh picked out a new park to use for photos this year and we had fun exploring the lay of the land. We had not-so-much-fun fending off mosquitos for the entire evening (where did they even come from!?) and I now have it forever engrained in my brain to NOT leave the bug spray in the car. Of course, nothing a little photoshop can’t fix. 😉 I’m so glad we got these Michigan sessions in before the weather turned cold or possibly even snowy. See you in 2022, Michigan friends!
