Over at www.rocktheshotforum.com  this month’s photo challenge is a flower portrait. While home in Michigan recently I spent some time traipsing through my Mom’s endless flower gardens in full Midwest springtime bloom. I took photos of various family members and still felt that I hadn’t found ‘my shot’. I settled on one, edited, posted it here, and decided to submit. I went as far as writing a blog about it and starting the entry process when a little birdie suggested the above image.

One of my all-time favorite images of my best friend – shot last summer after her wedding, I consider this to be one of the most honest and open expressions I have been able to capture. Always comfortable with my photo antics, Nicole has been the subject of many Photo Adventures (as we like to call them) throughout the years … and her wedding day was no exception.
