One of my very favorite things about this business is the connection with clients and building these relationships over time. The icing on the cake, though, is when my wedding clients become my family clients. Insert all the hearts here. It was just over a year ago that these two tied the knot in one of the most romantic winter weddings, complete with waaayyyyyy below freezing temps for their outdoor portraits. I love shooting winter weddings (and am excited to share more from my first one of this year soon!), there’s just something so cozy and magical about them.

Naturally I was thrilled when John and Katy reached out to me recently to talk about scheduling some photos for this year. While Ella was on the way during their wedding celebrations last year, these two had some news they wanted to document and share with their family and friends. Baby number 2 is on the way… and it’s a boy! Little Ella will be a big sister soon and she’s going to be great at it. We snuck out winter session in on a sunny afternoon with slightly warmer temps than our time together in 2017, and Holliday park served as the perfect backdrop as it never seems to look like full-on winter there! We were able to sneak in a mini maternity photography session for Katy before we wrapped up for the evening. These are always a favorite for me. 💙
