FRIENDS. I’m so, super duper pumped to share this Lockerbie Square engagement session with you. Why? Well because it includes two awesome people and their dog (duh) but also because it’s shot in one of the prettiest little nooks and crannies of our beloved downtown Indianapolis. So pretty, that when we drove through it on our welcome tour three years ago, I fell a little bit in love with it and committed it to memory… but never found it again. Until this night. More on that here.
For those of you that don’t live in Indy, our city is divided up into tons of little neighborhoods and areas and while you may still be in Indianapolis, you’ll more commonly hear people say they live in Fountain Square, Broad Ripple, Lockerbie, Irvington, Fletcher Place, etc. We’re LOADED with goodies all tucked into a few square blocks and there’s truly something for everyone. One of these not your vibe? Just pick another one – the possibilities are endless. As I’m typing this out, I’m realizing this would have beenĀ seriously helpful to see in writing when I first moved here. I was confused for the first year when trying to figure out where people were asking me to go. 😂
Anywho, these three live right in the Lockerbie neighborhood, a historic district with one of the pretties cobblestone streets you’ll find in the area. It’s lined with historic homes that look like the set of a movie, complete with people having backyard dinner parties comparable to the backyard set of Parenthood (you know… with the string lights and the really long wooden farmhouse table, the mismatched metal and wood chairs, and a magazine-worthy table spread). Since they live so close, it was easy to sneak out with Apollo for some family shots before we jumped into the couple portion of their engagement session, wrapping up our time in a little alleyway that stole my heart as we were headed to the first spot of the evening. <3
