Lifestyle Newborn Sessions in Indianapolis, Indiana | Baby H

I started offering lifestyle newborn sessions in Indianapolis just a couple of years ago and since we all know lifestyle photography is my calling, you have to understanding that adding a new little one into the mix… especially when new parents are part of the mix… is just about as magical as it gets. Top it all off with a super happy puppy-brother and a gorgeously styled home, and you might as well have a session full of unicorns and rainbows.

Quincy contacted me back in the spring about scheduling a milestone session to celebrate the arrival of their little one. We scheduled tentatively, knowing we would likely have to adjust based on Baby H’s arrival, and then she arrived right on time… on her due date! Quincy and Tyler had a bit of time to settle into their new role as parents before I met them, but you would think they’ve been doing this for years. They’re complete naturals and seem so at ease, completely glowing, in their new roles. We all know I’m an over-shooter when it comes to sessions and delivering galleries, and I know I say this often, but truly… I think this might be one of the biggest milestone galleries I’ve ever delivered. 😳 I don’t think either Quincy or Tyler will mind, though. 😉

Before you scroll on through this gorgeous session, let’s all stop and take a moment to appreciate Quincy’s interior design and decorating skills. She sent me a couple of quick snapshots of their home a few days before the session so I could check out the lighting in their home and I was already smitten just by the photos. It’s even better in person – every last detail is just perfectly placed and coordinated – their home could be in a magazine and you haven’t even seen the nursery yet!

And YES… their wedding photos are AMAZING! They eloped in those magazine-worthy images and now I want to run off to the mountains and have some of my own photos taken by their photographer! Paired with the home-styling skills of Quincy,  Tyler has some mad woodworking skills. That headboard? Yep…. built by him and every bit as dreamy as you think it is in this photo. And the wall hanging in the nursery? Yep. He built that, too, and installed it on the day of our session! Now GO! Soak it all in! Especially those squishy baby faces!
