Earlier this year I met with Rachel, who owns Exact Fitness in Brownsburg, Indiana with her now-husband, about her September wedding plans. Rachel and her mom, Katherine, had this beautifully planned vision of a small, intimate wedding ceremony on the back deck of Katherine’s home, where Rachel had spent some of her teenage years growing up. They planned for close family, only, keeping the ceremony and reception private, personal, and perfectly accented with all of Rachel and Kyle’s favorite things… including chicken and waffles for dinner.

They gave me a tour of the stunning home, helped me to visualize the setting sun over the house that looks out onto the golf course, the personal nature of being able to get ready right at home, and the gorgeous details that coordinator Gina Howald was designing for them. The colors would be bold, the weather would be (hopefully) cool, and there would be love in the air.

When I showed up to shoot on the day of their wedding, the house was like a fall-fairytale-come-true. There were floating candles lining the walk way, twinkle light pumpkins and gorgeous floral arrangements adorning the front steps, and there were luscious flowers dripping from every available surface. Rachel was calm as could be as she slid into her perfectly fitted (and jaw-dropping) dress and everything was just a dream.

The care and attention that went into every personalized detail of this day will nearly bring you to tears. From the wedding favors to the personalized and embroidered handkerchiefs given to the flower girl and the father of the bride, it was one of those days I just wanted to slow down in time and stay forever in.

To the beautiful couple who are both oh-so-sweet, thank you for inviting me to share in this day with you. I cannot wait for you to see your gallery in full and am enjoying reliving it all as I wrap up your images. Enjoy!

Kathering and Rachel thought about EVERYTHING when putting this together… down to checking out how the light would hit the deck during various hours of the afternoon and evening. Talk about a photographers dream. <3
