Indianapolis Wedding Photographers | A Winter Columbia Club Wedding

Wedding season started a bit earlier than normal for me this year and I could NOT be more thrilled about it. From the moment Katy and John reached out to inquire about photography packages for their January wedding, I began dreaming of beautiful, snowy winter days… complete with peeks of sun and pleasantly chilly temperatures. Little did I know we would end up with one of the most bitter and frigid days of our winter season so far. But with one of the most up-for-anything wedding parties I’ve ever experienced, who was not only brave enough to trek through the snow in open-toed heels, but to stand in the shade along the edge of the canal to get some awesome (and very brief) downtown Indianapolis-themed wedding party photos, I’d have to say this day was a complete success. To say these guys were EPIC is an understatement, but I just don’t have words greater to describe them!

We kicked off the day at the Columbia Club in Monument Circle, headed over to SS Peter and Paul Cathedral for an intimate ceremony in their chapel and then Katy and John took a surprise spin around the block in a horse-drawn carriage (with LOTS of blankets). We ventured out to the Indianapolis Canal for a few quick shots before my fingers became too numb to push the buttons on my camera, wrapped up at the monument and headed back indoors to warm up by the fire and my new all-time-favorite wedding party photo to date. Hello, vogue! Everything was styled by the fabulously talented Gina Howald (how lucky am I to have worked with her again!? Remember this wedding!?) and so many other talented vendors contributed to making this day picture-perfect. Ready for a sneak!?
