AHH! I’m so excited to share this Indianapolis wedding photographer session. Sharing a session on the blog means it’s so very, very close to being delivered to the client and I CANNOT WAIT for Michelle to get these images. I try my best to blog a session while the gallery is uploading – it’s the last teaser the client receives before their gallery reaches their inbox and it’s often one of my favorite parts of my workflow. I often get texts and emails gushing over the photos in the blog teaser, while I sit back knowing in a few short hours the client is going to be floored by their images… and sometimes even ending up in happy tears at the grocery or JoAnn fabrics. 😉

Here’s why I’m so giddy to be sharing this one. Michelle reached out to me a couple of months ago inquiring about a hybrid extended-family-anniversary-session and I was automatically on board. I happen to love extended family sessions and shoot them throughout the seasons, and if it were up to me every couple would have an anniversary session once a year. What made this one even more special, though, is that this family was coming together from all over to celebrate Michelle and Andy’s 6-year anniversary. These two high school sweethearts have been together since they were 15 years old and with Andy’s commitment to the USMC, they were never able to have a real wedding celebration until this year. Knowing that I was going to get the chance to shoot a session for them as I would shoot an engagement/couple session PLUS add in some the wedding photography sounded dreamy and it turned out to be just that.

It was all perfect. We shot at Coxhall Gardens and lucked out with a gorgeous sunset at the end of the evening. Michelle did a perfect job of styling every little detail to compliment Andy’s uniform. And her dress!? I know several of you have already commented on how gorgeous it is from the sneak peeks, but would you believe she ordered it and didn’t have a chance to try it on until the day before our session!? It was meant to be!!!

So Michelle, gush on, girl. Your gallery will be on its way so soon! Cannot WAIT for you to have these images that you more than deserve and have been waiting for for more than 6 years now! I hope your celebration was everything you’d dreamed of and more, and wish you both many, MANY years of love and happiness to come.
