Indianapolis Senior Photographer | casey and her camera
Earlier this year I met Olivia when she accompanied her sister on her engagement shoot with me. Olivia was there to ‘man the pups’ when Wifi wasn’t in the shots. She also did a fabulous job of being the behind-the-scenes encouragement for Jordan and Daniel, and not to mention for me as she’s a huge supporter and quite possibly my number one fan!!
This time around (and a week before her sister’s wedding!) it was her turn to be in front of the camera…for her senior photos! Jordan and Olivia are a photographer’s dream come true in that they came to their sessions fully prepared with coordinated outfits… AND PROPS! HEAVEN! Olivia had texted me about balloons a few days prior the session and I responded that the bigger and rounder… the better.
We were rained out on night one… and night one wouldn’t have had balloons, either. There are just so many reasons why rescheduling for the following evening was the best decision for this shoot. We had AMAZING light, balloons, NO rain (which equals perfect hair and makeup for the WHOLE session and not only 5 minutes)… the list goes on.
I have ALWAYS been a fan of laughing photos. They are my absolute FAVE. I know a lot of photographers prefer the subject not bring along extra people to a shoot, but I’m the opposite… especially for senior shoots! Much like Krissy’s senior shoot, Olivia’s parents came along to support her. Or in her Dad’s case, to make her laugh and to practice the posing behind me while I was shooting away. Had I know this earlier in the session (Hey! I was focused on this beauty!) I would have snapped a few and included them here for your viewing pleasure. 😉
I vote… if you’re uncomfortable being in front of the camera, ask if you can bring along some moral support who will make you feel relaxed and at-home… and make you laugh! Who doesn’t love natural photos where you look 150% HAPPY!? Olivia… you are seriously too cute. Just stop.
Hello, new favorite moody/serious photo. <3
Check out her shoes! She wore these in the wedding, too…
Oh wait… it’s a tie for new favorite moody/serious photo. You choose!
See!? I just love photos like these. I’m not even sure what’s happening here, but if you didn’t smile at it, then you are SERIOUSLY grumpy today. Snap out of it!
Her Dad and I talked about making this say 2051, but I was chasing the light and missed my chance. 😉
And the photo she gets to use in June of 2015…. ((drumroll please))…
