You all know I love shooting families with pets, not just because I want to snuggle ALL the dogs, but because I’m a firm believer that they’re just as much a part of the family, too! Brandi and Chris have had Berkeley (the white one!) since puppyhood and adopted Hank just a couple of years ago, so it was time for some updated family photos. Both Berkeley and Hank got a kick out of running through the weeds and exploring their new surroundings and it’s always so much fun to see families love on their pets.
Brandi and Chris are new to Indianapolis within the last year, and while they’re families live out of state, they wanted to get some family photos done (with the pups!) to showcase the gorgeous midwest falls we have here. The plan was to shoot at their home, with the beautiful trees in their yard turning bright colors… and then this fall happened. The temperatures didn’t cool down soon enough, and when they did they dropped to freezing. The week of peak color came and went with lots of greens and browns and the trees in their yard turned brown and dropped their leaves. We readjusted our plans and swapped locations for a more fall feel, paired with Brandi’s styling skills and boom! We had ourselves a fall session even with all those lush, green trees in the background!
