Every one of my traveling (Michigan) sessions this fall had something that was immediately my favorite. Each family brought something new and unique to the table… each family showcased their personalities and let me capture it. First I had the most adorable Halloween costume EVER and later that day the most adorable quote to ever grace my ears. Then I had THEE best color combination and blue hair I’ve ever laid my eyes on. I’m still sulking in hair envy over here.
Next came this family with the most fantastic fall-color-combo. Seriously, Shani… could you have coordinated any more perfect outfits?!?! I probably said it out loud about 427 times throughout our session, but really. This is ABSOLUTELY going on the ‘What to Wear’ board. Maybe I need to hire you as my session stylist…. I mean the baby beanie!? I DIED!!
Paired with the colors in the background and some deliciously moody lighting and wah-lah. Total session goodness and family magic. Everyone has their lighting preference, I get it. I thought I loved those glowing golden sunsets and some scrumptious backlighting, and while I still do love these for certain sessions, I’m a total sucker for some cloud cover and a little sunset glow. I love me some moody lighting… and a little glow. Can’t I just have it all, already!? So when my clients show up and are bummed that it’s cloudy for their session, they get to hear me gush about the lighting and think I’m a crazy Indianapolis photographer. They’re right, but man… lighting. Love.
I just can’t get enough of little facial expressions. I’m including a bunch of favorites in here.
Also, tiny hands and how they grip onto Dad’s shirt.
Shani, someday he’ll deny ever having eaten your hair. This is for proof. 😉
See? These expressions! Another one that will likely be seen A LOT when he’s a teenager.
Annnndddd THIS is why I love me some moody, gloomy, cloudy, yet glowing skies. GORGEOUS. <3 <3 <3
