I’ve seen this quote floating around lately – it always seems to surface this time of year. It says:
“October is to photographers what April is to accountants.”
I’m no accountant and this is still my first year in business as an Indianapolis photographer, but yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. October is busy season… and rightfully so! In fact, so much so, that I’m currently working on ideas of ways for my clients to take advantage of spring AND fall for their sessions in stead of having to choose one or the other. After all, who would want to miss out on the GORGEOUS colors and PERFECT temperatures that fall in the midwest brings!? No one!
I spent the first part of this week up in Michigan shooting fall family sessions and wrapping up my Michigan sessions for 2015. I didn’t realize it until I was finished with the last one, but this Michigan trip concludes my 2015 Michigan shoots with the exception of one special wedding happening on New Years Eve this year. 😉 It’s been an AMAZING year… truly. That’s not just me being my normal overly-excited self. It really has been amazing and I am truly grateful to each and every one of my clients who have made this year possible for me. <3
First on the calendar (it always pays to snag the first session spot because it means you are first to see your blog and get your images back… the early bird gets the worm!) is the Pochik family. Not only was this their first family session with me, this is their first official photo session ever! That makes it all the more special. These guys braved some freezing temperatures for a sunrise session at my FAVORITE shooting spot in Michigan. Shhhh…. it’s a secret…. so much so that it’s not even on the map! 😉
Loved capturing this family for the first time and freezing these moments in time for them. Just see for yourself!
