I’m currently uploading the largest wedding gallery I have ever delivered as an Indianapolis Photographer. It’s humongous. Literally. When Annilu booked my largest package, I was sure we would fit everything in – after all, 10 hours seemed like plenty of time with everything being at one location. So when she added on a few extra hours to cover the reception until the end, I cautioned her to consider that guests often leave early, or people tire of dancing as the night goes on. She assured me this would NOT be the case and that there would be PLENTY of party happening until the guests had to be shooed out for clean up to begin.
She was not wrong. Not one, tiny bit. I have never photographed such an energetic, enthusiastic, coordinated, or well-dressed reception in all my years of doing this. I’m pretty sure at some points there were so many people on the dance floor, that people were taking up corners of the room to still get their groove on!
So it should come as no surprise that this gallery is huge – after all, a good chunk of it is the party… and it should be! These two had guests from from all over the world to celebrate their tying-the-knot after eleven years of being together. This was a celebration for the books and it was not one to be missed!
Annilu has an eye for details and everything at Indy’s Mavris Arts & Event Center was perfectly put together… right down to the handmade succulent bouquet the bride put together for herself. There was glitz, there was glam, there were photos on the canal. There were trains and helicopters and paddle boats. And there was dancing, much, much dancing… to the delight of everyone. And as any photographer would have it, this stunning bride dedicated lots and lots of time to portraits throughout the day. It’s any wedding photographers dream.
There aren’t enough words to do this wedding justice, or this couple, and I am so fortunate to have met them and documented this milestone for them. Best of luck to you both in South Carolina and here’s hoping we meet again… this time with Moe!
This ranks as one of my favorite shots of the day. LOL.
The most gorgeous group of sisters there ever was.
Can we just take a moment to pause here and admire the wedding party entrance into this reception!? It was long, it was wild, and it involved a dance tunnel. Can you ask for anything more?!
This last train was the icing on the cake to this totally, perfectly, unpredictably magical day.
That shot of Grandma watching her newly-married grandson dance with his mother. Steal my heart, now.
And during this super-sized reception every.single.groomsman danced with the groom’s mom. <3
And the grand finale?! This.
A shout out to all the amazing vendors who contributed… your work is beautiful and you made this day complete.
