I’ve been sitting here thinking (for a couple of days now) how I want to blog this wedding. It’s the largest wedding gallery I’ve ever delivered and there are so.many.shots that just make my heart sing. I met Angelica and Aaron at their extended family session back in 2014. We hit it off immediately (Who wouldn’t!? These two are AMAZING!!) and met again for their engagement shoot later that year. And at the very first mention of ‘Harry Potter’ I knew it was a match made in heaven and this wedding would be a dream for me.
I continued to get to know them throughout the next year and a half of planning and just this past September made the temporary switch from Indianapolis Photographer to Detroit Photographer as I drove up to Southeast Michigan for the first day of the rest of their lives as Mr. and Mrs.. Talk about two people who are crrrraaaaazzzyyyyy in love with one another, are all-in, and the very best friends in the world… you’re bound to get good shots. Throw in the fact that they are extremely photogenic, and you’ve got the biggest wedding gallery I’ve delivered to date.
So how am I going to highlight, recap, and showcase all this gorgeousness without totally overwhelming you all as viewers? Instead of showing you the details, the guests, and the ‘big picture’ of their day, I’m going to focus on what really matters most on this day – them. Angelica and Aaron had a stunning day, but more than anything radiated love, excitement, passion, and laughter through the day. It touched us all… myself included. I was there, basking in it all, I smiled, I laughed, I cried, I danced… and I captured every golden moment of it. <3
So here’s some feel-good-Friday shots for ya. Congratulations to the couple and I look forward of many more years of photography and friendship ahead of us. 😉
Angelica’s sister presented Aaron with a pair of socks before the first look. Keep scrolling to see why…
Kudos to all the artists in Detroit who made this shot possible with these stellar murals.
😉
Yep. This happened.
Aside from all of the emotional magic that was happening between Angelica and Aaron, Angelica had the most beautiful first-look with her father right before the ceremony. Having met him before and knowing Angelica for a while prior to her wedding, I was able to really hone in on what I knew to be most important to her.
A hug for his brother and his about-to-be-sister-in-law before his bride walks down the isle, while his soon-to-be-brother-in-law waits to officiate the ceremony. I love weddings with a personal touch.
And while they didn’t know this was happening, you can read about it over here.
Not staged at all… this is just them and they really were this geeked to finally be married!
See?!
And when you have a party bus with the bridal party on your way to the reception, you always make a stop at Belle Isle. No matter how much the sun is shining in your eyes!!
How adorable is she??
Quick, somebody get these two a cutest-couple award!
Always a shout out to the vendors who made this whole day possible!
