I’ve known this family for a couple of years now and their newborn lifestyle session just speaks to me a little louder than their others. I’ve always been partial to lifestyle sessions that are shot at home, but I don’t think that’s it this time. Our kids are each a couple of months different in age, so every session I’ve had with them I can relate so closely to the stage of life they’re in. This time, as a new family of four, watching Frank become a big brother is a little extra special as I’ve spent the last few months watching my own toddler become a big brother.
Margaret has the most enviable head of hair – both of these kiddos have amazing hair genes – and she was awake for the majority of our session, which is actually my preference for these milestone newborn sessions. Some of my favorite shots from this session include a crib that Emily’s grandfather made for her when she was a baby. The family heirloom was saved and passed down to Emily when Frank was born, and we were able to sneak a few photos as Jordan was putting Margaret down in it (despite her protests).
We ended their session on the front porch of their gorgeous home and I’m already looking forward to seeing how much the kids have grown when I see them again this fall. Congratulations again, you four!
