Launching my milestone sessions a couple of years ago is one of my favorite changes I made to the services I offer. Having recently had my own maternity session and lifestyle newborn session, I can fully appreciate the value in these shorter sessions as there is so much change happening in your life in such a short time frame. There are so many moments to document, these shorter sessions give you a chance to capture it all without feeling ‘overshot’, not to mention it makes it all a bit easier on the wallet, too. 😉
Jessica and Ashish are expecting their baby boy next month and I was so excited to meet them right at the end of my own maternity leave. It was great to get to know a bit more about them during their Eagle Creek maternity session before I spend time with them in their home in October once he’s made his arrival. Jessica and Ashish were troopers in this September heat and even made the hike out to one of my favorite spots.
I always love learning little tidbits about my couples and clients and Jessica and Ashish were so easy to talk to. They shared about their journey to choose a name for their little one. Jessica is a teacher and this is never an easy task for someone who has worked around hundreds of kids. I can relate! The task to find something that is unique to your own child without connection to past students can be a challenge, but Jessica and Ashish found the perfect balance for their baby boy!
Beyond that, they’re got hearts of gold as they spend their time fostering (and adopting!) senior dogs. They currently have three and I’m hoping they’ll be a part of our session next month… along with the cat! It’s always nice to have a full family portrait when a new member arrives! Jessica, I wish you well in these last few weeks as things wind down for you all and cannot wait to see you again soon!
