Hellloooooo, 2017! I’m officially back in the office after a completely wonderful break spending time with family and friends and am feeling absolutely rejuvenated. So to kick off the year I bring you my second-to-last session of last year! I met this family in October for a fall family session and loved getting to know little tidbits about them and their family history. They’ve spent time living here in Indiana and across the pond in England and for the holidays, both sides of their families would be joining them to spend time with a special little lady. <3

So when they reached out in November to schedule an in-home lifestyle session, I was thrilled! We all know I have a huge soft spot for lifestyle sessions, adore extended family sessions, and Christmas has completely stolen my heart, so getting to put them altogether just has be bursting at the seams.

I met the group at home where Sophie was clearly the center of attention, the entertainment for the afternoon, and the pride and joy of everyone in the room. And can we take a moment to appreciate Amber’s knitting skills? Taught by her own Momma, she made Sophie’s dress and the stockings on the mantle that you see in this shot.

Sophie took a moment to whip up an afternoon snack for her honored guests.

Despite the 17 degree temps, the whole group ventured outside for a few quick family portraits. Let me tell you… it was frigid, but oh-so-worth-it.

And back inside for a few quick snuggles by the fire and a hot chocolate break to wrap up the whole, glorious afternoon. Thank you (to all of you!) for inviting me to spend this special afternoon with you! It was a pleasure to meet you all and to hear stories and celebrate with you. I hope you had the most wonderful of holidays and safe travels back to your homes!
