Blog fans, meet the Neys. This session is one of my favorites in a long time. We met at my favorite (top secret) spot here in Indy and upon arrival I learned that in the chaotic time getting a 6-month-old out of the house (a house that they currently had all packed up to move FOUR DAYS LATER) Dad’s shirt was left behind. They drove 45 minutes to our session and our location was at least 20-minutes one-way from the nearest store.
What’s an Indianapolis family photographer to do!? Call on my husband, of course! Luckily, I live within 5 minutes of our location (perks of suggesting locations to clients and this time the perk paid off!). My hubby showed up within 10 minutes with a backseat full of shirts. Luckily, we were able to find one that matched perfectly and the size wasn’t too far off, either. 😉 The day was saved and we set off into the woods. Luckily for me, all three members of this family are all smiles, all the time, and are ready and willing to roll with the punches!
One of my favorite things about shooting 6-month family sessions on-location is the new parents. I LOVELOVELOVE seeing the interactions between these new families – there is just so much personality, love, and excitement in every shot. I love the wonder and exploration that happens and know that these images will mean the world and last a lifetime.
And this… <3. This is why mother’s need shots with their babies. Wrapping up this session just after the sun had disappeared and this happens. … and may well be my favorite shot of 2015 thus far.

Priceless! I just adore how you manage to capture such beautiful candid photos.
Love their interactions, and their perfectly coordinated outfits (your hubby’s shirt and all) make these extra special (and show how excited they were for photos!). Beautiful baby!
Very beautiful session! I love her expression in the last photo. Hehe. 🙂
