A couple of weeks ago I received an email from Amy Sayre Photography, a Chicago photographer who just so happens to be a friend-of-a-friend who’s work I have admired for several years now. Turns out, one of Amy’s family clients moved to Indy about a year ago and after a spring snowstorm caused them to cancel their trip back to the windy city for family photos and Amy’s schedule booked up for fall, they were in the market for an Indianapolis family photographer that would be local and flexible to their needs. Of course, I was more than happy to help out – both Amy and the Soja family!
I met these guys at their house to shoot a little session in the comfort of their own backyard where the twins would be comfortable with meeting a new face. Within fifteen minutes, the boys were squeezing themselves onto my lap to help take photos and giggling and pointing at the back of my camera – meeting someone new was a breeze for them this evening! So we ventured out to the entrance of their neighborhood where there’s a dreamy little farm bordering their street and said hi to the miniature donkeys and ponies, much to Josie’s delight.
The light was dreamy, the boys were all smiles, and Josie was twirling and twirling in her new dress. I’d call it a success. Looking forward to working with this family again in the future!
Okay, this is just the cutest thing, but I didn’t notice it until editing. Both boys like to put their heads together as a sign of affection. Kind of like a head hug. See it here….
… and here! Adorable!!
