I’d been waiting for this session for a while and am so happy we finally had AWESOME weather and got out to shoot! Hannah contacted me far in advance of Mother’s Day inquiring about booking a session for their family as a gift to their mom for the holiday. I was immediately on board, as this was so reminiscent of the Mother’s Day shoots I’ve wrangled my family into for the past several years. After several (four… five… maybe more?!) rain-outs, this Indianapolis family photographer finally got to meet them. And I’m dubbing these two the Kids of the Year for their awesome gift-giving skills.

We met at Coxhall Gardens and had the place almost entirely to ourselves. We had perfectly cool weather, gorgeous sun and clouds, and these guys were laughing the whole time. It was just perfect. Not to mention their super-fantastical wardrobe styling skills.

To the Ray family, it was so very nice to meet you all – you were great! I hope you’re enjoying a relaxing weekend on the lake and enjoy this little teaser of your session as your gallery is finishing up!

Hello gorgeous light and wonderful couple… 

Truth: When this momma stepped out of the car on the night of their shoot, I thought she was the daughter at first. Then when her daughter stepped out of the car, I thought I had misread the information sheet and there must be TWO daughters and the mother. And then she introduced herself and I sorted it all out. Cheri, you are GORGEOUS and definitely do not look old enough to have two adult kiddos.
