When Cacelia and I first connected about scheduling Xavier’s one year session, I was immediately excited. She had obviously been looking forward to this milestone session for a while and had been planning and prepping diligently on her end. She put so much time and effort into preparing for the session (which if you can imagine has the potential to go way off track with a one-year-old), but all of her efforts payed off – Xavier was a complete doll and this mommy and daddy got to jump in front of the camera during snack time while auntie kept an eye on baby.

And I’m sure it goes without saying again (if you’ve seen my recent posts!) we had gorgeous weather, perfect colors, and totally magical lighting. Oh, Indiana, you sure do spoil this Indianapolis Family Photographer. See for yourself!

I mentioned Cacelia’s planning and prepping – just look at this! She had an outfit planned, but it ended up being FREEZING at the end of their session, so she threw on a jacket (perfectly coordinated, mind you) and we went for it. She hand-made all of the decorations for the chair, brought along the chair, balloons, the cake… all of it. It was just perfect! Xavier LOVED it and we had to stop him from consuming the entire cake after we’d gotten the photos. 😉
