Indianapolis Family Photographer | casey and her camera

Almost exactly one month ago (shame on me, I know) I posted the last blog before making the trip back to the midwest. In that month, a lot has happened, but I’ll leave that up to Facebook and Instagram to fill you all in. Just after we arrived in Indy, I packed up the car and made my first trip home from our new location. It was so easy – what used to take me 1-2 flights, a 2 hour time change, and a bit of adjusting came totally easily and I comfortably stayed for 6 days. Ahhhh… so nice to be close to family and friends again. So nice to be back. 🙂

While home I had a variety of photo happenings… the first of which was this cute family! I met Jeff and Mary when I was teaching at Milan years ago and formed an awesome ‘friend circle’ with a group of teachers who all have AWESOME spouses. Brad and I get together with these people every Christmas, and now that we’re closer, hopefully much, MUCH more! Mary contacted me a few months prior to schedule Avery’s one year photos and a little family session (HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY, AVERY!!) and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

Avery is a complete doll (who happens to be infatuated with cats, apparently… and no, the cat was NOT a part of the session…) and her parents are pretty amazing, too. Honestly, and this is my goal with EVERY session, it just felt like we hung out at a park for two hours and I left feeling like, ‘Oh, that was refreshing, visiting with friends… did I even take any photos!?’.

Don’t worry. I did. And I LOVE how they turned out. <3

What is this thing you have in my face?

CAT! Not ours. Although it did rub itself all over me and send me home with its scent, thoroughly confusing my dog. Avery loved every minute of it!

Those teeth! If you didn’t just smile, well, … I know you did, so I’ll leave it there. 

Not a fan of the hat, but that’s ok. 😉
