Indianapolis Family Photographer | casey and her camera
For those of you who have been following, I spent the weekend in Cali for a couple of shoots and some quality ocean time for my heart and soul. One of these sessions was in celebration of their great-grandma’s birthday. Four generations of family coordinated for a shoot (which is a feat in itself!) and document generations of memories. So on Sunday evening we headed up to Loyola Marymount University (which is GORGEOUS in itself) to get started. At one point I was composing a shot and asked Nana which of the family members were her ‘kids’ and she exclaimed (with a HUGE grin and sweeping arm motion) ‘All of them!’. I have never seen someone look sooo proud in that moment.
I really enjoyed this shoot and have *so* much to share with you all that I’m breaking it down for you. You have have seen a blooper or two over on the Facebook page from these set-ups, but here’s the real version… and the reason behind the shoot. <3
I have not had to swap a single head in any of the images on this blog. If you’re a photographer, you will know how big of a deal that is. Cheers to my most photogenic family of 2014 – who I’m convinced never blinks. Even the babies have their eyes open…. REALLY!!
This shot just may be my favorite. These are ‘her kids’. These three women… I just don’t even have words to describe what this image means and I’m not even a part of this family. I want this shot of my sister and I with my own mom. <3
