He’s HERE!!! Baby McCaman is finally here and I GOT TO MEET HIM. Granted, I don’t think he was too thrilled to meet me… just check out the first photo. Hah! I’m not worried, though, he’ll get used to me with time. And more good news… Mom and Dad are doing AWESOME.

I spent the afternoon with them while home in MI at the end of May and just took him in. He’s the sweetest little thing and has the most expressive eyebrows that I am in.love.with. I can’t wait to see this little man grow up and become the person he is going to be!

Also, I learned an important thing about myself as a photographer while home for this shoot. I.am.not.a.newborn.photographer. Props to you if you are – you are special people. I’ve dabbled in trendy/traditional newborn photography, but it’s not a part of what I currently offer, and it isn’t going to be for a while… maybe ever. I think it’s awesome and beautiful and fully intend to have my own babies photographed, but THIS is what I love about photography… and always have. Catching people in their element – comfortable and relaxed… at home. Literally. Newborn lifestyle photography.

I started to play around with lifestyle photography last year and officially started offering Lifestyle Sessions in December of last year, and am loving it more and more each time I get the chance.  So, right alongside engagement photos (did you know that was my favorite?!) is lifestyle photography. Needless to say, I am thrrriiilllleeeeeeddddd to have been able to capture these for Josh and Anna. You’ve seen them on the blog several times, now, as they are dear friends of mine and big supporters of my photography adventures.

So, enjoy these, and congratulations to the McCaman family on their new addition. He’s absolutely perfect.
