I’ve decided we could all use a lot more love in our lives – there never seems to be an overabundance of it. Do you ever hear people complaining of being loved too much? I’m talking about love… love for other people… your best friend,  your parent, your sibling, your teacher, your neighbor, the lady at the check out counter. I’m talking about deeply caring for others, recognizing the good in people and believing in worthiness.

We all know that life is not always easy. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. It can be really hard – financially, emotionally, physically – there are all different variations of what hard is. As we head further into the depth of winter and its gloomy days, I want to bring a littler warmth and sunshine and LOVE into your lives.

So in honor of my very first ‘giving back’ mission of 2015, I’m going to be giving away a FREE SESSION. Two of them, actually. You see, family photography is what I know and love, and capturing other people’s love on camera for them to display on their walls and albums forever is what I know. I think about the generations of people who will look at the images I create and will smile at past images of you, framed on their mantels. Sometimes those future generations are even in the images with you. <3

Just yesterday, I received this message about this image:

“I love this image. To me it totally embodies a picture your grandkids look at one day and go, ‘Oh my gosh! I love this picture of Grandma, it’s one of my favorites!’ And everyone has it somewhere in their house.”

This is what I do and this is what I have to give.

So to say ‘thank you’ to all of you – the people who make this possible for me – I want to collaborate to bring a little warmth and love to someone who deserves it. Heck, maybe they even need a little bit of good karma right about now.

Want to be involved in the ‘sharing the love’ initiative? All you have to do is nominate someone you think deserves (and would LOVE) a free session from me. This isn’t a ‘what’s in it for me’ kind of giveaway. This is a ‘selfeless-you-deserve-this’ giveaway. So no nominating yourselves, folks. 😉

Here’s what you need to do:

1. Check in with your potential nominee. Make sure they would appreciate being nominated. 

2. Send your nomination to me in an email. Include the name(s) of the person/family you want to nominate and a personal story why you think they deserve this session and would love it!

3. Wait for the voting to begin…

4. That’s it! 

Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, February 5th. Voting will begin on Saturday, February 7th and details will be made available on how to vote at a later date.

The winners will be announce on Valentine’s Day (you had to know I was going there, right?). There will be one Indiana and one Michigan winner and I will work with the winner to schedule the shoot in 2015 according to availability.

Winners must be willing to sign a contract and model releases. Winning sessions will be scheduled accordingly to the availability of casey and her camera and will include up to 90 minutes of shooting time for a maximum of 1 family as determined by casey and her camera. Product delivery will include edited digital images delivered via online gallery.
