It’s official. casey and her camera sessions open July 31. The countdown to being an Indianapolis Family Photographer has begun. And there’s not much time left! The past week has been a complete whirlwind and exactly one week from today the moving truck will be here bright and early along with a crew of people who will take our Colorado life and put it into boxes, shipping it off to Indianapolis.

We’ve spent the last week coordinating movers, apartment leases, house viewings (EEK! and more to come on this, soon!), starting to throw out those long-forgotten condiments in the refrigerator door… you know you all have them…and beginning the exhausting process of detailing yet another apartment for security deposit return.

I look forward to the adventures yet-to-come and in the meantime I am soaking in every ounce of Colorado and its beauty. We’ve taken more-than-the-usual walks with Pogo, let her take late-night swims in the river, and braved the bugs to get sunset shots of the mountains that have become our curtain to the west.

As this week begins, I enter into the last five days on site at the most gorgeous and influential workplace I have and will ever set foot into. Unless, of course, our dreams of owning a house/cabin in Montana come true and I run my business out of the real-life-nature-calendar that is Montana.

I will certainly miss the ranch – the program, the students, the animals, and most of all… my peers. It is them who have made this (almost) 4-year journey everything that it is. They have shaped and molded me into the person that I am today, through their honesty, inspiration, creativity, and genuine passion for everything that is life.

So stay tuned as the adventures of this move begin. I am glad to have you along for the ride. <3
