Indianapolis Family Photographer | casey and her camera
YAY! The final session of my Michigan holiday time has hit the blog! I wrapped up my trip home with one of my all-time-favorite couples and their new, extended family. You may remember Scott and Leah from April 2013 when they got married in beautiful St. Pete Beach, FL. You can read a snippet of how I know them and see all about their April wedding on that posting! Leah is one of my absolute favorite people to photograph because she is … a) always laughing, and b) has the best laughing-smile-face EVER. I just adore her, and let’s be honest, she’s just as bossy as I am so photographing with her is a breeze. 😉
When Leah got in touch with me to schedule an extended-family shoot with her new in-laws over the break, I jumped at the chance. I had the good fortune of meeting all of these folks at the wedding. You know the type of people who, upon meeting you, greet you with hugs and smiles like they’ve known you for years? Yep… that’s what this family is like. I’ve know many members of Leah’s family for years now, but their wedding was my first time meeting Scott’s family. Of course, I should’ve known they would be similar to Scott, and they were. Meaning they’re AWESOME. Very go-with-the-flow, take-advantage of life people. The kind of people you just want to surround yourself with 24/7.
We started at Tanya and Jeff’s house – new house – and let me tell you it is GORGEOUS. AND Tanya has decorating talent that is hands-down magazine-worthy. It was a little photographers dream. I could have found new locations for little set-ups all day long. And the furniture!? DROOL! Of course, no session with me is complete without some outdoor time, no matter how bitter cold or blaringly sunny it suddenly is (thanks, Michigan). Note: It was only sunny twice in the 10+ days I was home. Each time for about 2 hours total – once of which was in the middle of this shoot… in the middle of the day. So much for counting on the 9 months of overcast weather this place gets. Regardless, we made it work! Check it out the Babinski Family Session below…
Enjoy! <3
These are their Elf on the Shelf faces. 😀
And if you made it to the bottom… and I hope you did… stay with me. I have one more posting for this family to post soon!
