Earlier this month I started sharing some of the traveling sessions I shot in June for an upcoming Chicago campaign and I never got to share the last two families who were a part of this awesome project! Each time I post one of these families I think to myself, ‘this one was my favorite!’, but then when I get to the next one I think the same thing. The truth is, I had a really amazing experience through and through – from coordinating with the involved families, to meeting and communicating with the clients on the other end of this commercial shoot. For this family, I had communicated with Evilyn to coordinate everything for our afternoon together. I was already excited, but when I walked into their GORGEOUS home, I was completely elated.
It was sweltering outside and I had just finished shooting outside that morning. this Indianapolis family photographer was looking for a nice break from the heat, but am always thinking about lighting situations for my lifestyle sessions. You never know what the light will be like when you visit a client’s home. When I walked in, not only was it a beautiful break from the heat, turns out their home is 100% ideal for indoor shooting. The lighting in this place is just… well, I don’t really have words for it. Even the blinds were designed in a way that makes a photographer want to squeal in excitement. Not to mention, these guys have exquisite taste in interior decorating…. I just went straight to photographer heaven! And I’m sure I raved about it the WHOLLLLEEEE time I was shooting. 😉
And if their home wasn’t perfect enough, they certainly are. They have the kind of family bond that you just find yourself envying. It was so sweet and Dahlia just adores her parents – they’re her best friends. You can see it on ALL of their faces and the laughter was completely contagious. See for yourself!
